Absolutely fantastic professional service. The guys went above and beyond. I would definitely use and recommend Byrd Electrical to anyone. Thank you so much for a great job!
I'm extremely satisfied with their services. The team was professional, punctual, and demonstrated exceptional expertise. They ensured the job was completed efficiently and even provided valuable insights. I highly recommend Byrd Electrical for any electrical needs – a reliable and skilled choice.
The best electricians you could use in Melbourne by a country mile. From the moment I called Byrd electrical and spoke with Tara I was confident I was going to be in good hands.
In the midst of some home renovations in Albion, my wife contacted Byrd Electrical with the intention of installing a new oven and induction cooktop.
Prior to engaging Byrd electrical we were given ridiculous quotes and even told by some what we wanted wasn’t going to be possible.
From the moment we engaged Byrd Electrical the whole project felt like a relief rather than a task. The team at Byrd Electrical gave us numerous options factoring in different budgets.
Along the way during the demolition and installation process the tradies were very open in their communication with how things were coming along aswell as accurate timeframes of when things would be done.
What was very noticeable was how respectfully the tradesman Boyd, Mark and
Leon spoke to and treated their newly appointed apprentice Pat which we thought spoke volumes about the company.
All the tradies that came through the house were very respectful and patient to our two young children who were in the house for the renovations a lot of the time.
The job was done to an incredible standard and upon completion the owner Ben took us through everything to ensure we were happy with the finished product.
Highly recommend Byrd Electrical and will definitely be using the team at Byrd Electrical in the future.
I had Ben wall mount our new TV, relocate our existing TV, plus install a new power point. I would recommend Ben & his team very highly as he was on time did an excellent job & both my partner & I are extremely happy with the finished results. Ben was polite, tidy & explained everything before doing it. Ben is also well priced, no extra charges as some others. A big thanks to Ben & his team on service & quality will definitely use them again for future projects.
"Boyd from Byrd Electrical is a superhero in disguise as an electrician! Not only did he expertly install our three ceiling fans and four pendant lights faster than a bolt of lightning, he also managed to explain the warranty information to our 3.5-year-old with such finesse, that our toddler thinks they're the new warranty expert in town! Boyd's dedication, patience, and knack for making electrical work seem like a magical show deserve a standing ovation. If there were an award for the 'Coolest Electrician,' Boyd would win it hands down. Five stars just aren't enough to rate this electrifying experience!"
Definitely 5-star service! Quick response and service and Leon was
fantastic with his advice, and installing new downlights, ceiling fans and faulty switches. Will use them for all future needs.
Really professional firm from initial inquiry through to job completion. Had ceiling fans installed. Highly recommend
When was the last time you had your exit and emergency lights tested for functionality? In a commercial or industrial setting, maintaining your exit and emergency lights is more than a safety consideration – it’s also a legal requirement, and if your business is caught in the dark, there could be potentially serious ramifications. Need a check-up ASAP? Call the team at Byrd Electrical on 1300 271 287 or read on to find out more about how we can help.
Why do you need exit and emergency lighting?
In the light of day, exit and emergency lighting can be easy to ignore, but in the dark – and in buildings with low natural light – it becomes a critical safety consideration, particularly in cases when emergencies lead to the loss of electricity. When kept in good working condition, the batteries in each light will be sufficient to provide at least 90 minutes of light after power failure, giving those inside the building enough time to find the exit doors and make it out.
What’s the process for exit and emergency light testing?
Testing exit and emergency lights is as simple as pressing the “push to test” button on the casing and timing the light for 90 minutes to ensure that it stays on. However, this is not a process you can DIY – under the National Construction Code, you must have a licensed electrician install your lights and test them every six months. To maximise the lifespan of your device, fittings in the system should also be inspected and cleaned on an annual basis.
What happens if my exit and emergency lights aren’t working properly?
There are several common signs of a faulty switchboard that require immediate attention from a professional electrician. If you have noticed your lights flickering, your appliances tripping the circuit and cutting out, or your switchboard emitting sparks or burning smells, it’s time to contact a trusted electrical team and get any concerning activity under control.
